Rosie Hardy began taking photos when she was 16 when she was inspired to do so because of the magazines she used to look through, when she was 17 she began a 365 challenge that consisted of taking a photo of herself every single day for a for a year, after a few months of this she started taking the pictures with new locations, lightings and props and finally began taking pictures with models and clients. She uses photography to represent her feelings and emotions e.g. in the image above on the right it may suggest how she feels trapped yet so close to being free.

To create these images i used a chair and a tripod, the girl lay across the chair whilst i took the picture, i then moved her and the chair from the area and took the picture again without moving the tripod, on photoshop i then placed the two images over each other, placing the one with the girl on top. To achieve this floating affect which Rosie Hardy does i used the rubber tool to remove the chair from the picture. Also i used the burn tool to make the shadow stand out more by going over with it on the existing faint shadow. Finally, i used various adjustments to darken the image making it similar to Hardy's work.
